WELCOME
Welcome to the Mesquite Hornets. We are one of the oldest organizations in Mesquite with 50+ years in existence. The Hornets are made up of kids ranging from 4 to 14 years old. The teams are broken down into four groups by age, however practices are all held at Galloway Elementary. We are a fast growing organization and would enjoy the opportunity to work with your children.

FOOTBALL
This is not a solo sport. Your child is ONE piece to a puzzle that comes together beautifully by the end of the year. The sacrifice that we make together as parents and staff requires that these children come to practice to work and not play.

DRILL
Throughout the season, each team will learn a themed routine and cheers that will be performed on the sidelines and during half-time of Hornets football games. These performances prepare us for Zone Competition in November where we compete against the other teams in our zone. From this competition, winning teams continue to compete in the city competition. Our Directors and Staff strive to make the program the greatest experience for your child. We work very hard during the season, but we also take time to have fun and do exciting things for the kids. This year, we have planned a sleepover, Pep Rallies, Homecoming Dance and much more. The kids receive different gifts throughout the season and weekly we choose children who have shown exemplary attitudes and performance to be our Stingerettes of the Week.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
Parents if you would like to volunteer in anyway please let the Team mom or Coach/Director know. We are always in need of help. It can be anything from helping bring water, team mom, putting makeup on the girls, making bows, painting boxes, building, anything, we are always looking for parent participation.

New to our family
The Hornet organization would like to welcome our new Coach and Directors, we are excited for what they have to offer not only to our children but to the organization as well. Let give them a big welcome from the "Swarm".
